This quote belongs to Edmund Burke (1729 – 1797).
In these days of “do-it-yourself philosophy,” young people are ahead of the pack in learning new things quickly and and effectively. Young people appear to adapt more quickly than the older generation to the most recent advances in technology. Both sides must have respect for one another. The younger generation needs to listen to the wisdom gained from experience of the older generation, while the older adults need to be open to the innovative ideas of the younger adults. Each side should learn from one another, and the results will be amazingly effective. Start today to look at your elders with respect and make the effort to learn from them. In turn, the older folks will begin to embrace your new ideas and be willing to put them into action. It is a true “win-win” situation!
